Jolene Dames is an experienced set designer, art director, scenic charge artist and buyer. She has worked in set decoration, props and the art department supplying numerous productions with specific hand painted pieces, photography and art for sets. In her own work, Jolene specializes in large-scale paintings using photographs. Her current listed works for sale are inspired by the photography of James Dames.
As a designer, Jolene specializes in creating the atmosphere, tone and style of sets, businesses and homes by designing the physical surroundings and creative elements. Primarily working in the art department for films, television and theater, Jo has extensive experience on set and in supervisory positions such as designer, art director and charge painter and she has held positions as a set decoration buyer, charge props painter, props assistant, and buyer.
Jolene works as a consultant for creative projects of any size with experience in strategy, problem-solving, artistic development/direction, idea generating and implementation. She is a certified feng shui consultant who pays close attention to the art placement, color treatment, and overall design.
Jolene holds a Bachelors of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with additional studies in: philosophy, literature, studio arts, technical theater, and sociology. She is certified as a feng shui consultant, life coach and TEFL/TESOL instructor. She has attended seminars and independent courses on energy anatomy, dream interpretation, color therapy and energy psychology.
